The Technology Services department is responsible for maintenance of data systems, computers, web, libraries, and MyEducation BC. Technology Services staff include an IT Manager, ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Network Administrator, Wide Area Network Specialist, Senior Local Area Network Specialist, and five Local Area Network Specialists (LANs). We also have a ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ Vice-Principal of Innovation and Technology, 2 library media-techs, 1 Student Information Service facilitator (MyEducationBC/Paradigm Shift), and one clerical staff member. The Director of Instruction oversees TS and is involved with a variety of projects, planning and support.
We serve a school district of approximately 6000 students with 25 sites, and around 2800 computers. Our geographical range is 33,000 square kilometres that we may travel to schools with our office and shop located in Fort St John. The actual School ¾ÞÈéÊÓƵ catchment is much larger at 90,000+ square kilometres.
